If you plan to purchase for the first time at an Osarus sale, you must register before bidding. This can be done directly with Accounts by sending a request for credit document by email to , fax +33 (0)5 40 00 71 04, or post to:

If you wish to purchase via an agent/trainer/vet, you must return the purchase authorisation available in each catalogue or online here.

You will receive a confirmation email from Osarus once all the necessary documents have been received.

Following the sale

You must go to the Accounts office with the Purchase confirmation form ("bon d’adjudication") filled in following the purchase of a lot, in order to give all necessary invoicing information. A copy of the Purchase confirmation form will be issued by accounts allowing you to collect a Pass out ("bon de sortie"). No horse will be allowed to leave the sales grounds without this document.

Purshasers fees

On top of the hammer price (and applicable VAT rate), purchasers must pay the following fees:

For purchases under €15,000 (excl. VAT) 7%
For purchases over €15,000 (excl. VAT) 6%

Inward buyers scheme

Any foreign buyer purchasing at an OSARUS sale will be eligible to the Osarus Inward buyers’ scheme. Osarus will reimburse foreign buyers for their travel costs (travel tickets will be reimbursed on an APEX economy basis only). To obtain your reimbursement, please contact Osarus at :
